Osteopathy is a type of holistic manual therapy. It aims to improve the function of the body and reduce pain by using hands-on techniques to manipulate the bones, joints, muscles, organs and connective tissues.

The basic principle of osteopathy is that the body has the ability to heal itself, but that this process can be hindered when they body is out of alignment.

An osteopath will use a variety of techniques, such as massage, stretching, and joint manipulation, to help restore the normal function of the body and reduce pain.

My treatments tend to use a mixture of very gentle and more physical techniques depending on the patients needs. I pride myself on finding the most effective technique for each person. For me it is more often the more gentle approach that is the most effective.

Osteopaths believe that the body works as a whole and that imbalances in one part can affect other parts. For example, a problem in the back can lead to headaches, while poor posture can cause neck and shoulder pain. By working on the entire body, an osteopath aims to improve overall health and well-being.
Craniosacral therapy is a type of alternative therapy that aims to improve the functioning of the craniosacral system, which includes the bones, membranes, and fluid that protect and surround the brain and spinal cord.
Practitioners of craniosacral therapy believe that by applying gentle manual pressure to the head, neck, and spine, they can help to release restrictions in the craniosacral system, promoting healing and reducing pain and stress.
I personally find this type of therapy the most amazing solution for stress relief and relaxation. I have also been amazed by what it has done to support people with jaw issues, headaches and migraines, and issues caused by dental work.
Kundalini bodywork is a holistic approach to wellness that aims to activate the energy known as "kundalini" located at the base of the spine, to bring balance and harmony to the mind, body, and spirit.
This energy is believed to be dormant in most individuals and can be awakened through various techniques, such as yoga, meditation, breath work, and specific body movements. The ultimate goal of Kundalini bodywork is to help people achieve a higher state of consciousness and spiritual connection.
I personally find it incredible at releasing the emotional blocks that so often are the underlying cause of a physical issue. I've had people achieve more in one session of Kundalini Bodywork than they have after being treated by leading Osteopathic teachers. I don't pretend to understand how it works, but it is very effective.
